"Rachel's Challenge" Week
  School Assemblies
Depending on the size of the community, four or five teams could be making simultaneous presentations at area schools. The presenters will conduct 40-minute assemblies drawing on the powerfully emotional memories of Columbine, Rachel Joy Scott and the other students who were killed. Video and photographic material from the day of the Columbine shootings, much of which has not been seen by the general public, will be used by the presenters. The dramatic consequences of playing out violence and rage to such a level will be evident. The presenters will motivate the students to consider adopting the new set of values based on Rachel's writings and suggest practical action steps to incorporate these values into their life experience.
